February 12th, 2000:
Hey you Shovelfucks! What's up? Our next few shows will be out of town but the next show we do play in London is gonna be a good one, us, CHANNEL 99, LEFT BEHIND and DRY HEAVE. What more do you fuckin' want??? Check out the SHOWS section for all our confirmed shows, k?

*BIG NEWS* We will be going to Oakville next month to record a 5-6 song ep in preperation for our summer tour comin' up. Because we are puttin' it out ourselves it will be out very quickly, maybe by sometime in April so please look for that at future shows or check out the page for mail ordering info. That's all folks....

January 22nd, 2000:
Hey there yall, well we can't give enough thanx to all the people that made last nights show such a great time. It seemed like everyone and there brother came out and supported the scene. I hope everyone has as much fun as we did.

We would like to send a special thanx to Jay C for coming up on stage and playin' a few with us. Thanx Jay. And a special thanx to the rest of the members of LEFT BEHIND that made it out. CHANNEL 99, your sounding great, keep it up boys, and to DRY HEAVE and BEFORE MY EYES who both played great sets.....To anyone who didn't make it out last night well, you fuckin' suck cause you don't get a lot of kick ass local shows like that much anymore.....

January 15th, 2000:
Hey, what's up fuckers. Hope everyone had a good new year. Just a quick update, ALL THE MP3'S ARE NOW WORKING!!! So feel free to download them in the SOUNDS section. Also, we have a show comin' up on Jan. 21st at the embassy hotel. We'll be playing along side Dry Heave, Channel 99, and Before My Eyes. Cover should be cheap so we hope to see you all there. Till next time..........

December 1st, 1999:
Hey yall, how has everyone been? Well we finally updated the site. I think this is the longest it has been neglected....Um, we have been playin' mostly out of town shows lately which I must say has been a blast. We will be slowly startin' to work on the page again as I know the mp3s still aren't workin'. Bare with us....

December 4th, 1999: Yes, an ALL AGES show at the Whippet Lounge. Anyone who knows where the Embassy is won't have trouble findin' the place it's in the same building. PROJECT WYZE is playin' again finally. If you have never seen them I highly suggest you come out. They are a very unique style of punk/hardcore rap. Sound interesting? They fuckin' rock. It will be $5 or less and it is ALL AGES so come check it out....

October 26th, 1999:
Well, we aren't opening for DIESEL BOY this month.....I guess another band from out of town will be instead....Atleast there is a smaller band opening for them, that's good....Oh well.......

October 20th, 1999:
Hey, long time no update again....We will finally be workin' on the site little by little over the next couple weeks. We will be movin' the mp3s, adding more pics from recent shows and even adding some funny fucked up pictures like Kurt pickin' his nose on stage and some camping pictures with real funny shit....When they're up they will be at the bottom of the pictures page with captions or whatever.........

Also, the DIESEL BOY show is on the 28th (thursday you moron) at Call The Office but we still don't know if we are playin'. The same shit will probably happen like it did with the STRUNG OUT show. We were supposed to open that show but the big bands didn't want a local opener cause they didn't want the show to go late which it did sorta anyway....cry me a fuckin' river, I wonder how bands like STRUNG OUT and CHOKE (choke rules) got there start? Hmmm, maybe opening for bigger bands? So, until some bigger bands come through that will allow local bands to open, us and other local punk bands will just have to wait and play all local bills with half as many kids cause most kids only come out for the FAT and EPITAPH bands.........

A big THANX to all the kids that actually support the local scene and don't just go to see the big bands but bands like us as well....

October 1st, 1999:
Hey, we will be workin' on the mp3 situation within the next couple o' weeks so hang in there......other than that, nobody seems to like signing our Guestbook...we like hearing from ya......you lazy fuckin' non Guestbook signing bastards.........

September 28th, 1999:
A few shows have been confirmed for us for October: we will be opening for THE NOBODYS at Call The Office October 14th, 1999 and DIESEL BOY sometime in late October at Call The Office as well. When I get the exact date for that show I will let ya know...........

September 27th, 1999:
The show with THE PLANET SMASHERS went very well for us. We would like to thank every little punk that came out to see us play and especially those who bought our merch, thanx a lot.....

September 21st, 1999:
Hello, the show with No Connection went pretty good considering the show wasn't fuckin' advertised. We also had a hardcore band called Red Lion come down from Sarnia and they were really good as well......

I would also like to clear up a little matter: We are NOT, I repeat, NOT opening for SERIAL JOE this sunday. Even though we are on the posters and the tickets we decided to open for THE PLANET SMASHERS this saturday instead. Although it would have been cool to open for SERIAL JOE just to make fun of them and play infront of hundreds of twelve year old girls with their parents it just ain't our style. So if you wanna se us play this weekend and buy some merch (shameless plea) go see THE PLANET SMASHERS cause SERIAL JOE SUCKS MY FUCKIN' SACK.........

Also, all of our mp3s are not working. Only two wav files are workin' right now, Degredation and Hear My Words. We are having some serious problems with the mp3s. I don't think Tripod likes them or something. So eventually we are gonna move em when we get around to it......

September 12th, 1999:
Okay, just a little update. No Connection will be playin' the show on the 18th of this month. They are a fuckin' rad ska band from Burlington Ontario. I have also heard that unfortunately the show might not be all ages, which yes, sucks. Hopefully that's not true, anyways that's it for now and be sure to come check these guys out when they play with us cause it will probably be a while before their back in town........

September 10th, 1999:
We are puttin' on and playin' a show at The Whippet Lounge on the 18th of this month. It will pretty much be an all ska bill, and we are tryin' to get No Connection (a ska band from Burlington) to headline it. As far as I know it will be an all ages show and as always will cost you less than five bucks......So really you have no fuckin' excuse for not showing your support cause it ain't a fuckin' school night!.......

September 6th, 1999:
*BIG NEWS* As of now we have a new bass player. His name is Kurtis and he played his first show with us on saturday after only a week and a half of practicing with us. He did extremely well and we will soon have some new pictures up with him in them. Welcome aboard Kurt.........

August 30th, 1999:
Hey, right now we are concentrating on getting some bigger shows which means we might not play as much as we wait for bigger bands to come around. We also are going to start playin' more out of town shows as soon as we get a van.......hi Adrienne.........

August 24th, 1999:
Good luck to LEFT BEHIND with there future plans. It was Rick (lead guit) and Jakes (bass) last show. Hope to see you guys playin' again soon.

Also, a big thanx to the boys who saw us at the KID DYNAMITE show and came again all the way from Chatham to see us. Thanx a lot guys, we really appreciate the support....

August 19th, 1999:
Well hello again, um, right now we are workin' on the merch and sound sections of the page so they're gonna be a little fucked up for a while. Eventually we will have mp3s and wavs from all of our releases and some unreleased shit as well. We will also have all of our available merch up with prices and ways for you to get it. Until then most of the mp3s won't be workin' so you'll just have wav files for now. Whatever.......

August 9th, 1999:
Hey there, long time no update, ya ya...Well the show with KID DYNAMITE went amazing! They are the nicest group of guys and hopefully they will be back in the fall.

We have been pretty busy lately with other shit including merch, getting money for our disc and trying to keep getting big shows.

Finally, we have some merch. Hopefully it will be on the Poverty Records site soon but for now you can get our shit at shows, duh. We've got hoodies, t-shirts, basketball lookin' jerseys and a new 3 song promo tape with one song from the Poverty Records comp and two from our unreleased disc, so they're unreleased, duh... Well, that's it for now.....

July 14th, 1999:
Hey, we are opening for KID DYNAMITE at Call the Office in London on Aug, 5th, 1999. They are on Jade Tree Records with ex members of the late band Lifetime. It's gonna be an intense show so come check it out!

July 5th, 1999:
Hey, I don't think the mp3s are workin' right now but I know the wav files are. Fuck ya if you don't like it. We're workin' on it.....

When we're fixing the mp3 problems we will also be putting up a few wav files off our first cd "Generation Insubordination" which you can also get through Poverty Records. It's a little different than our newest stuff more like Slapstick type punk. Buy it. It's cheap. It's got ten songs.

June 27th, 1999:
*BIG NEWS*: Okay, here goes, we have returned to our old name SHOVELFACE for a few reasons. First of all we couldn't shake the fuckin' name, people were still booking us as SHOVELFACE and there's a band in Montreal called Homesick apparently. (Homesick was our old name for about 3 months for you first time visitors). So that's it. It's fucked up but that's how it goes. We have spent the last two days of our lives fuckin' around with this computer bullshit and the page is finally workin' again. We apologize to anyone that frequents this site for any inconvenience. WE WILL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN. IT'S TOO MUCH FUCKIN' WORK.......

*BIGGER NEWS*: We just got out of the studio. We recorded 10 songs (9 songs and a spoken word thing). Um, it won't be out for a while due to spending all the money we had on recording it but we will keep ya posted on its progress.

News on the Comp: THE COMP IS OUT NOW. You can get it at shows (which is the way you should buy it) or through Poverty Records. Just go to our merch section and you can link to the Poverty site and read a profile of each band and hear sounds clips of em too. Now that's fuckin' cool.....
